The Scene: Remixed OPM

MR DJ

This is the first single off ALEXANDER THE’s Filipino-centric pop project Pacific Blues.  The track features Belle, a pinay vocalist Alexander The connected with on his recent trip back home.  It’s a fresh, slightly(!) more knocking version of Sharon Cuneta’s OPM classic of the same name.

Alexander The is a Toronto, Canada based musician who got his start singing at debut birthday parties around the city.  Really, he did that.  He regularly  juggles several musical projects including Santa Guerrilla, Times Neue Roman, and Broadway Sleep. Alexander was also a resident musician at KAPISANAN for over two years.

“Pacific Blues presents music that’s been brewing through generations and across oceans. Harnessing Filipino artistry, deeply rooted in the homeland.”
