KARP: Bacolod

This picture is of me and my aunt at The Ruins on my first night in Bacolod. This was our first time to meet ever, and my arrival was nothing short of emotional. I was just so happy to finally meet my mom’s sister and her family. It’s not hard to fall in love with Bacolod, with fields and fields of sugarcane, lush mountain ranges, and white sandy beaches. I was only there for three nights, and I already want to go back. We dined on cheap fresh seafood numerous times. And the only way to do justice to the largest sweetest mangoes ever, is to peel them right then and there, at the roadside stall and just devour them. Despite the two brown outs I experienced Bacolod, I’ll be back!
